I like the FAL in the graphic. It looks like mine (different flash hider, and the one pictured probably has a full-auto selector switch, but otherwise…)
The only thing I dislike about my FAL is that it and the ammo for it is heavier, and it costs more per round than the US AR-15’s ammo. It does hit harder at range, though – and it’s tough. You can drag it through the dirt and mud, neglect cleaning (love the adjustable gas system) and it still works. I like that in a rifle.
And you’re right, Arthur – I don’t think MOST are ready for what’s likely coming down the pike. Physical Preps, Operational Preps, nor Mental Preps. I fear it’s gonna get ugly.

I need to up my workouts. Not to really be prepped for the spicy times, but to better fit into those Rhodesian short shorts.
From first hand experience I can say that the Rhodesians and South Africans underestimated their enemies. Their enemy was international, not just local terrs. They had no defense or plan against the treachery from within. Do we?
