"This is a very important lesson. You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end—which you can never afford to lose—with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.” – VADM James Stockdale, USN

I have tried multiple times today to read the comments on GAB by ‘Stop_Shouting’ and they will not appear.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Same issue for me
While somewhat tangential to the specific question, some good ideas can always be gleaned by reviewing the Wolfe classic “101 Things To Do ‘Til The Revolution.”
Some direct ideas, some things to be extended and extrapolated (now that we’re “closer” to said event).

Man portable, field expedient food. An army marches on its belly, yes?
What “aRmY?”
It was a rhetorical response using a paraphrased quote. Why not do what was asked and make a suggestion rather than an insipid comment?
“Rhetorical” my ass.
Would that be the same “army” which stopped cold the scamdemic tyranny?
Again I comment, WHAT ARMY?

IMHO food, water, cover.
Break each of these components down into what is necessary for each.
Next would be information on the immediate area. This would include maps and “inside knowledge” of the area for movement purposes. Also being able to provide some sort of area study. These items are needed more if those operating in the area are unfamiliar with it.
Having extra of certain items will also be helpful as in batteries and the like.
The same things you need are the same things “they” need. Just put aside extra.
I am no where near an expert on anything. Just my thoughts.
From years of working swing shift, it has been my experience that having a good selection of small fasteners, things like hose clamps, roll pins, C clips etc. Is something overlooked and under appreciated by most folks. You don’t just run out and get these items at two in the morning and nor will you when things go hot in your AO.

Hope you are doing well Brother…

Paracord. A couple of different gauges of wire (picture, baling, etc…). Zip ties. Gorilla glue. Jb weld. Assorted little machine screws and bolts. Framing nails.
Little things tho fix things, you know.
Ziplock bags in multiple sizes for food portions and also for personal gear weatherproofing. You’ll miss them.
And last but not least, contractor grade large garbage bags. A thousand uses, best of which is to smother that prick Tfag with.

You gotz any Ukrainian whores with you on the island?
Bet them make a funny tasting sammiche.
Hope you’re well, you big headed mofo.
You lock down your island yet?
Make a few of these zip lock bags stronger by reinforcing seams with duct tape. Some even resort to covering entire envelope with duct tape to make it even stronger.
Heavy plastic rolls for waterproofing and making shelters more wind resistant. Duct tape and grommets installed make a tarp, poncho and/or water basin (digging hole and lining with plastic). A few extra heavy duty Leatherman type multi-tools would not be wasted either. Not nearly as efficient as dedicated tool unit but weight and bulk will be critical.
all these items need to be of the highest quality u can afford:
food dehydrator
portable water purification
vacuum sealer
portable solar charging kit
iodine (nuke radiation)
Soap. Right now soap is cheap. Having made soap I can assure you that it is a pain in the ass and you are better off buying it now. You get filthy fast in operations and being able to get clean even if it is just the pits and pubes goes a long way. Socks. Dry socks are better than food and almost as good as an after operation cigarette. How about being able to make chlorine? If you can create chlorine out of salt you can purify water, make a bucket of hand dip so you can clean hands without using up your precious soap and make dakin’s solution to keep wounds from infecting. There are several machines out there but the best one I found and have personally bought is from Aqua Research. https://aquaresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/AquaResearch_Global.pdf. About a hundred bucks. Makes thousands of gallons of safe water using a small amount of salt, water and electricity and it even can charge from it’s own solar panel.
Soap is even cheaper at estate sales where I’ve found bars for as little as 10 cents. WOOL socks are the best with the support of an old lady to mend them. In WW1 the field hospitals reused the gauze bandages by boiling them and with the help of an autoclave. The ability to make chlorine would be a wonder when the bleach runs out. (thanks for the link) CB radios are also cheap secondhand.
None of us can stock everything…..we’re all just pieces of the puzzle that will once again become a cohesive tribe.
As for food, seeds are vital to replace some of the inventory that will rapidly disappear when feeding a crew. Anyone can grow food and experienced gardeners can teach the young uns.
We need to abandon the disposable mindset since replacements won’t be available. I already have many patterns (and the skills) for sewing cloth diapers and cloth menstrual pads can do double duty as bandages….sterilized of course!
That 1 lb bag of unscented pool shock will make gallons of bleach and stores dry.
True and not a bad option at all. Still you have to store those bags somewhere and make sure they don’t come in contact with other chemicals like brake fluid (quite exciting results). Only reason I like the generator is because of its small size and on demand action. There are always other options. Of course, being able to start a fire with a chemical reaction in itself could be a reason to have certain compounds around.
Sodium Chlorite = Chlorine Dioxide
Cost about 20x more than NaCl, but 100’s times more effective and no generator.
Potassium Permanganate will treat water, clean wounds if dilute enough and also cause a chemical fire when exposed to glycerin.
Just remember: No cop at any level is on the side of American citizens.
From what I understand about guerilla tactics–which admittedly is not extensive–these are successful when dealing with issues at local AO level. But how does that translate when the AO becomes the entire fUSA?
My guess is that the BlueHive cities will be choked off, as they can not live on their own. In the past, to get this point across, and especially to pointy-headed Marxists living in Manhattan, who don’t give two shitz about fly-over country, all it would take is shutting down a few bridges and the Holland Tunnel, control the ports, and the entire island would starve within weeks, because they don’t produce a single thing of substance whatsoever.
Same can be said of every BlueHive city.
YMMV
The resources like food distribution and emergency medical will also be centralized in the cities.
Don’t get to be on the reb’s team and use the hospitals.
YOLO
your existence comes down to the 16 Elements of Survival
#1 – STATE of MIND
#2 – SHELTER – CLOTHING – SNIVEL GEAR
#3- WATER
#4- FIRE (heat)
#5- SLEEP
#6- FOOD – FOOD PROCUREMENT
– FIRST AID & TRAUMA > (plan for secondary & long term care best you can)
– SANITATION
– HYGENE
– NAVIGATION (without gps)
– DEFENSE / OFFENSE (weapons, tactics, logistics etc.)
– EVASION & OBSERVATION
– LIGHT & ENERGY
– COMMUNICATIONS – (electronic & emergency manual signalling (without cell phones)
– TOOLS – REPAIR – Cordage etc.
– TRANSPORTATION (on foot > up to vehicle if possible)
Take any one of these elements away and you die. It’s the reality of the human condition.
Extrapolate each one out in it’s simplest form so it’s portable and realistic to stock pile. Guerrillas are not machines nor Rambo’s, they are humans in an extraordinary situation so everything on the list needs to be as simple and portable as possible.
As support elements – under the category of “transportation” do not forget about the logistics of moving “packages” to where it’s needed. Our “gang” utilizes things such as the surplus rubberized Dutch haversacks. Very simple, inexpensive, weatherized & portable. Fill with a dozen mags, couple canteens water, some food, batteries and TC3 items. The QRF team has a resupply element. You call we deliver and split.
Caches obvious play a roll in prepping the battle space as well.
Think small but plenty with all this stuff. Foot powder, pine oil is much better than hand sanitizer, extra maps of your area because guys on your side might be coming to help from another area, etc. etc. etc.
When you build any type of kit have this 16 elements list handy. Ranging from a pocket kit, butt pack battle belt, patrol pack, vehicle kit, get home bag, to caches etc. Be very conscious of why exactly something in eliminated from the list for a particular kit.
Now go to Walmart and buy some foot power with that extra $5 in you pocket you were going to buy a coffee with today. An Army moves on its stomach AND it’s feet.
Best to each and every one of you and sincerely hope to see you all on the other side on this insanity.
1. Water source (without need for power). A hand pump for your well is optimal. Purification system if not on a well.
Everything else is redundant without 1.
In addition to small solar to charge controller,
to batteries then inverter, got a free big solar panel
which is now going to electric motor v-belt pullies
To 12 volt 80 amp car/marine alternator to charge
batteries. Alternator has built in charge controller.
It will be alternate just in case…
Stay Strong And Persevere
Sailboat battery charging tech from 1990’s:
Horizontal Single Kubota Diesel 300cc engine uses about one pint per hour to drive 2000W of generators and/or pumps. This is best as 12vdc, 24vdc, refrigeration, diesel polishing, watermaking (reverse osmosis), etc. Engine driven rotary chargers are most effective for time and fuel up to about 85% charged banks, then solar/wind for trickle-topoff. Power management is inconvenient compared to grid life, but better than dark.
Water filtration: is there anything cheaper and as/more effective than Sawyer filters bought in wholesale bulk?
Fire: BIC lighters and waxed cardboard box from broccoli pack from grocery store dumpster. Can’t recycle waxed boxes. Shake the box dry, tear a chunk, light the dry edge.
Fly of muted colors from large camping tents. 11’x13′ Eureka found at thrift store for $3.00, with no zipper, window, or tears/holes. About weight of 40oz canteen. Water catchment, concealment, shelter.
Stainless steel single-wall water bottles (with lid, or if free, without) to carry, cook, share, water in. Much sturdier than bladders. Most common is 28oz, with 40oz and 64 oz available. I like wide pitched threads found on klean kanteen models.
Thermite welding supplies. These can be easily adapted to disable motor vehicles and other things.
All the tactical stuff is great. You’ll mostly know what you need by the lack of it. Multiple sources for these is important. But you need two non-combat types (besides your medics and cooks) to make your efforts count. Wasted effort is deadly. 1 person who does almost nothing but watch the opposition, sometimes going out to the field to gather it, see it first hand. This person reports directly to the commander, daily, and keeps them informed of everything they can about the bad guys. They brief and debrief everyone going out of the base, and coming in. Interrogates all prisoners. Asks for the latest rumors, knows what the local people are talking about. The other person assists in these things, with an emphasis on enemy activity. I would also throw in that you find a capable person, and place them in charge of on-going training for the troops. Training never stops, and when the troops grumble, ask them to tell you how to win the next battle. The feed back will surprise you.
Great input Sean!

The most important thing now is target profiles and packages.
Good luck everybody.
Location location location, your east of the Mason Dixon line, you’re fucked. Maybe the hillbilly hills will be ok.
In the US every home is a hardware store, under every kitchen sink is a bomb factory, every man woman and child a guerrilla fighter, runner or Intel operative. Our elder population camp hosts for crews moving thru.
Organization is key, I’m amused if you don’t know where your next years meals are coming from, if you don’t have enough to feed your crew, AND. Those less fortunate especially the children, you’re not prepared.
No part of any slaughter animal can be wasted, fresh water here is plentiful in most application a near 10 feet down. Learn to live in a hole a cave underground, plan to move often and quickly if you’re a warrior.
Drones, Drones Drones are your friend,,,, or your worst enemy. Fight smart patrol or receive smart, use the tools off the shelf in any and all big box stores. Most importantly have drones and power packs on your shelf and on the rest of your crews shelves.
Barter here is king. Potato’s for tilapia fish, grains for fuel. Bullets for food,
Learn to live in the open move in creases and canyons out here learn to catch and eat snake, “ rattler tastes just like chicken” .
Most import is do not squander your food producing stock animals round em up, guard then, make sure one or more in your crew are on top of animal breeding, “ TFAT, don’t mean fuck a cow or pig”. Have the means for artificial incemination. We have ani,Al Drs in our crew, make fantastic surgeons.
For the new folks I can’t stress enough to have Jack Lawsons, “ Civil Defense Manual vol 1 and 2 on the shelf, the wisdom within can and will save lives for some here.
In each area there will be leaderless cells/crews working the area, coordinate, set standards, trade with, build QRF packages with the other crews.
Most importantly identify crews who will likely become raiders, swiftly violently remove them, their fucking trash, put em in the ground. Don’t burn homes, as mentioned each is a resource center.
Theirs a reason the north burned the south’s homes, salted their fields. It’s not personal it’s “Total War”. When it comes to the enemy, zero rules, them their families are legit targets, why you would want prisoners makes no sense to me, but I know what my enemy will do to my people. It’s a tool a psy op to get in every one head.
Each on your team must know the turf, 10 ways in 20 ways out. Secondary thru ten other bugout locations.
For you not paying attention to the fighting in Ukraine, wow you’re missing the boat on HOW TO, the wise crews are watching learning, identifying items used makes finding those resources pre event, easier,,,,,,Example what drones are being used for surveillance and what drones are being used to drop granades.
What height does a simple Grenade need to be dropped if it’s fused, not impact detonated?.
Be prepared to live in the middle of nowhere, we are making friends all the way out into Nevada, we are researching the area via maps, and driving the roads, and dirt roads. Amazing what’s over the next hill. I am amazed at all the water available in the region.
In many areas huge cattle operations are up, running, 100s of thousands of cattle in the middle of nowhere. These ranch’s the buckaroos are gonna need good assistance, I know from conversations anybody capable of shooting 1000 plus will be welcomed.
Those ranch’s realize their only strength is location. Nobody around for many many miles, ain’t nobody going to be headed there because of the regions vastness.
Lastly it’s a simple one but critical, fuse, everybody should have at least one roll of fuse, and must know the burn rate per foot.
I gotta go, ooooo wait one last thing. Getting right with God, a Bible should be in every crews required reading, along with all the mil and civilian HOW TO books. Anybody here not recognize the biblical signs we are seeing, shits moving quick. Pay attention, if you were laughing events off, these things in the mid east should make it crystal clear.
Dam, AND these United States will not be left out of the coming fight. yOUR FUCKING GOVT has opened the flood gates to THEM! No quarter shall be given, you’re attacking my country ima cut your fucking head off stick it on a pike. Let the fucking big birds eat what’s left!
Dirk
Ya lost me at “east of the Mason Dixon line”…. Add maps to your list, Dirk. 😉
Lol, I’m not trying to be a dick, the best example I can share is this example. Find a map of the US at night from a satellite, truly disheartening to see the light patterns covering east of the mason Dixon line, or how about the lower Mississippi River?
God help em, a lot of squared away folks with lots of experience. I don’t wish them harm think the aerial pics say it all.
Next look over the southern OREGON northern Nevada region. Thirty something years ago we made@ choice to move here from northern Calif.
Everything above 4000 ft, the resources, the turf the places to hide are amazing. The people living here are studs, the population are hardy, preppings a way of life here. Electricity goes off no big deal, the ten cord or five cords of wood cut n stacked, the solar systems the use of lanterns and candles, the ability to shoot extra long distance to locate water, or hiddy holes, it’s all here.
I love it, we can be fifty miles from anywhere come over a rise or scanning and we’ll see a buckaroo on a horse, all by himself. Or her self. It’s away of life out here.
Hehe. I believe the other reader was trying to gently point out the mason Dixon is a line that runs east west and divides north south… But yes, lots of gouge and pertinent points.
Thanks Dirk!
Not for the recommendation of my books… for recommending THE BOOK.
Not forgetting the Bible and getting right with God in addition to all the other advice here, will in the end be EVERYTHING!
It is uplifting to see here the Spirit of Americans. I’ve lived all over the planet and know right will prevail here… Americans are unique. They can kill some off… but they can NEVER kill us all and never exterminate the SPIRIT. Just read what is written here and you will see.

Amen, brother.
Currency. It’s easier to go to war without guns than without money.
Test test
water filtration straws
caps, gloves and handwarmers for cold weather
shoe and boot laces
go to thrift stores and buy things to replace used/lost items like sleeping bags, jackets, heavy pants and shirts wash then pack/store them
battery chargers for D and AA – 120 v and solar versions
Some type of portable power/ battery bank to recharge lights, optics, NODs, radios, etc.
Solar kits such as Ecoflow would be good, and small inexpensive battery banks (Amazon) to hand out/ charge up after a swap.
Extensive upholstery sewing supplies for gear, clothing and boots.
Chlorine dioxide kit/ safrax tabs. ClO2 can be used topically for wounds, kill foot rot, or internally for food poisoning or other ailments. Also kills super bugs. Great sanitation item.
Inexpensive mylar and tape- to make faraday bags as needed. Mission darkness makes a good product but they’re much more expensive than simple mylar and faraday tape.
5 gallon buckets, powdered detergent and a toilet plunger for essential laundry- that’s an off-grid and simple solution for sanitation.
Waterproof notebooks and pencils, and older non-WiFi digital camera(s) for intel and evidence collection.
Your neighbors will kill you at their first opportunity. Don’t believe me? Go to an HOA meeting. Go to a School Board Meeting. City Council Meeting.
Since covid, everyone has become batshit crazy. Everything turns into a beef.
Very true. There are countless stories from the Civil War to The Revolutionary, to .. WW2, of neighbor ratting out a sympathetic neighbor… hiding Jews in your barn? Johnny Reb got a shack in the woods? Blow your brains all over the front lawn, then set fire to it all as a warning to others.
A strategist. A leader who can unite everyone, who has a big picture vision, who knows what locations to attack and when. Plenty of us know the tactics, but strategic planning is the key to victory.

So many great ideas already. I’m thinking communications, things like Baofengs, any other radios, batteries to run mobile radios off of. Antennas, supplies to make antennas. SDR, preferably with a trunking capability to monitor local authorities if they’re trunked and not encrypted. Being able to listen/monitor is important, much more important than transmitting. Being able to SEE/hear transmissions even if they are encrypted or digital, perhaps all you will hear is static but it may be enough to know there are transmissions, and the signal strength. Directional antennas to direction find signals, and for more covert communications if it’s necessary to Tx. Brevity codes, SOI, I know there’s a guy or two who knows quite a bit more about this than me…

I see some good points here, but, one I want to re=enforce, stationary. Everyone wants to use a form of digital messages now. Pens and paper, preferably Rite In The Rain with the pens for it. Stabilo map pencils. Sticky notes. laminate for paper. Speaking of, 1:24 map protractors.
That said, get familiar with the U.S/NATO Classes of Supply. Know it by heart. Use it as a check list.
Class 1- food. water
Class 2- clothes, tools, blankets, web gear, it’s a huge list
Class 3- POL, fuel.
Class 4- building items. nails, lumber
Class 5- Ammunition, things that go boom.
Class 6- “sundry items”
Class 7- vehicles
Class8- Medical supplies
Class 9- parts, all of those nuts bolts, pipe clamps. Highly important!
Class 10- Civil stuff. Think agriculture.
Some items of emphasis… Grabber solar blankets. camo paint. Something to look at, a Hawk Crawler Deer Cart. 50 different uses.
Oooh, Yeah. While it’s crossing my mind. Lamasil for athlete’s foot and ring worm. Use soaps and detergents from the hunting isle. Also, Dr Brauners stuff.

Brother sig, the trick is to not be where they think your gonna be, un even when they think even, you know the rules travel were others don’t, sleep under or between stuff, stay off trails or roads, if your walking a road be at least 100 yards off the road, moving gonna be slow. What’s the hurry. We’re we are we can move many many miles and not see or cross a road, talking hundreds of miles. In every direction.
First one has to define what the movement we’ll achieve. Different tasks require different approaches, and leaving/ departing/ retreating is never on the same route.
Heat signature won’t matter if elk deer moose or cattle are in the area.
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve stopped counting deer at six hundred plus, in the same hay field. This is night after night after night. Different fields same region.
And they are spotting Moose north of Winnimuca Nv, I’ve seen the pics, these are the Canadian big moose. Pretty cool to see. I’ve never seen or heard of a moose in Nevada Ever.

The Mason-Dixon Line runs majorly east-west, so saying “east of the Mason-Dixon Line” doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, brother.

@WRSA @Stop_Shouting I like waterbricks. They’re a bit expensive and heavy — not the best option for carrying on foot — but good to throw in the car of a trunk or maybe strap to a motorcycle.
Overlooked stuff: maybe funnels and good rope (thicker than paracord).
Mike V has been gone now for 7 years but I’m remembering his post describing ALICE cargo shelves and cargo tie-down straps to carry stuff that won’t fit in a backpack.

@Stop_Shouting @WRSA I don’t think I’ve read yet where anyone suggested reloading capabilities. If a person were attending a sewing circle and wanted to diversify their portfolio, so to speak, they could start methodically stocking their pantries with powder, primers, & projectiles. Plus, of course, the equipment to bring those things together.
Thanks for posting this.

@66coronet I just bought a thousand small rifle primers last week, and was wondering about their bigger brothers. Was also wondering about the recent (within ~6 months, I think?) report of a new primer manufacturer, perhaps in TN IIRC. Seems like it was somewhere in the South. I might need to run it up the GoG flagpole and see who salutes…

Great question and points. I had a related thought today while driving. A local CVS closed recently and Walgreens is closing all locations, I heard. It’s very good that people don’t trust the medical industrial complex anymore, and that’s a contributing factor to the closures. But, this cuts easy quick access to general first aid supplies. Something to plan about.

Okay, thank you. That is exactly the specificity I am looking for.
My husband is currently forward deployed, and as many of you know, he has been a FID trainer/embedded Advisor so normally he would be a good go-to, but at his present location all of his comms are locked down tight & monitored, and I don’t think Uncle Sam would like him contributing to this convo. 😆

I like the idea of having a set up to swap out rechargeable batteries along with other necessities. I have some solar power options for recharging, I can get others to be similarly equipped while they’re still available and relatively cheap.

@WRSA @Stop_Shouting if it comes to guerilla operations in the homeland, potable water will be priority one. There’s a great chance the grid will fail, which means municipal water and sewer systems fail too. Sewage backing up into basements means a house is uninhabitable. Water systems failing mean millions will die simply from the consequences of drinking contaminated water. A clean water source that can operate without electricity will be a critical asset. Something as simple as providing water to friendlies will accomplish more than almost anything.

Separate from those, do you have a source of potable which doesn’t require electricity? For example, a hand pump on an established well?

And we can put together herbal medicine first aid kits – eg: agrimony and berberine for tummy trouble (agrimony is a go – to for cholera and food poisoning), tylenol, “Vitamin M” (Motrin – a call out to our Squid friends) and so on. Basics of a few tabs in a snack size zip lock with labels of contents & directions that could be tucked into a camo pocket.

@Stop_Shouting Two things to open the discussion:
1) For the fully-functioning homesteads, recipes for several varieties of good-to-go rations from easily-replicable post-crash resources. Ever since I had one of the Sbux (ok, I like what I like 🙂) snack boxes with nothing more than
-a dozen grapes,
– a few slices of cheese,
– a micro scone biscuit thing, and
– a package of peanut butter (a schmeer would do in a post-industrial world where PB is possible, regular butter would be a decent substitute),
I have thought about how something like this could be a way of helping the lads in the field as they protect the community. Drop off at a designated site/time w overwatch by Team Freedom after collection from the neighbors.
2) Nobody freak over the pic, but smocks in patterns suitable to the AO would provide the lads with a common over-blouse that, in a pinch, could be ditched (along with weapons) so as to look like every other starving person in the vicinity. Talked with a fashion designer/professor once about making the patterns; she said it would be cake.
Love the topic; OK to post at WRSA actual?

@mfukinrapp @WRSA I like the idea of small notepads like you can buy at the dollar store. Never thought of adding that to my list. TY.
I’ve been stockpiling socks, Tshirts and underwear. I learned that from OIF – in the early stages, they were sending our guys home on the medevacs in what they got banged up in — no one thought that through. We met the medevac rotations coming into Andrews with Regimental T-shirts for the lads, fresh underwear and socks as well as their request for whatever they wanted to eat and had a craving for. Popeyes, NY pizza etc. It wasn’t until later that the MIC got involved and made it a production so they could get (+)ve PR, set up a 501(3)c, the regular BS.

@WRSA When I get more responses, I’ll try and group them in some type of logical categories and publish them on my substack so it can be given wider distro.
There are lots of non-military people who WANT to help but have limited exposure or understanding of military maneuvers, what patrols/platoons on the move need, etc. They have expressed this to me directly but don’t know HOW and are looking for guidance and encouragement. So, I thought it best to go direct to the source.
What do you guys need? What is helpful? What is NOT helpful? What do we need to buy NOW and pre-position ready to go.
We are not alone.

@Stop_Shouting @WRSA great post! We’ve been discussing the same here in my A.O. A few things we’ve come up with are as follows:
Empty sand bags, toiletries kits, travel size baby powder, baby wipes, hand warmers, socks, small hand towels, and water/water purifiers.
Also other consumables upto and including cleaning kits, laundry bar soap, ammo. Depending on availability and trustworthiness of locals- Intel can consist of rotating supply drops, enemy locations, routes and patrols, check points etc. Basic intel that can be easily corroborated and not put civilians in jeopardy. (Hearts and minds after all).
Hope a lot of others chime in would love to get more input, I’m sure there’s a lot of great ideas out there.

@Stop_Shouting @Unfounded23 @WRSA so if you or someone you know is friendly with local sheriff / police and you ABSOLUTELY TRUST them…..they can arrange with/thru FEMA and .mil for FREE sand bags (use prevent flooding) as your need reason and you can get literally a semi -load (or could 2 years ago) a friend told me so 😎…this came about as .mil started giving vehicles and equip. to law enforcement ….worth a try.

It would be more practical to buy the bars at the local mexi-mart in bulk and chop them into thirds and hand out in a small ziplock. I can make soap and teach others, but the stuff is for now readily available and cheaper when time is factored in. No one is looking for bespoke soap when SHTF.

Maps?
Should we start “saving” the tourist “back road travels” maps the gov puts out for our AO? I know it’s not proper geoterrain military maps, but in an emergency? With directions of alternative routes away from main thoroughfares? I am assuming of course for people who don’t know the local area.

@Stop_Shouting @WRSA maps? More than likely a partisan squad already has maps of their A.O. And should be locals themselves. Perhaps a “hobo” symbol on various posts around local farms or fields to identify safe passage. Preferably if said field is wooded or offers some kind of cover. But all that varies depending on locale.

@Stop_Shouting @WRSA all great ideas. Keep in mind we can throw the kitchen sink at them, however, simple covert communication on dead drops and items requested if possible are worth their weight in gold. Duct/gorilla tape will do wonders… they may not want to take every thing in the offering plate each time. They gotta lug it around and it may not be immediately needed. With any luck your A.O will have multiple partisan squads.
I would add “learning conciseness” to your list of preps.
Good lists here!
I recommend a bound book library of essentials. Somebody already mentioned those civil defense manuals. You should include bibles, .mil manuals (if you haven’t already printed them out), and books like Turner Diaries. Old Scout manuals – as an old scouter I can attest to their usefulness. I am not suggesting you agree with any viewpoint in such literature, but those books are how to manuals in many cases. The Hiding Place describes an “underground” intelligence operation, for instance. Don’t forget to include classic lit like Shakespeare, Bronte sisters, and Mark Twain. Sun Tzu, anyone? Why? End of the world as you know it: Somebody’s kid might need it; you could trade it. Or you could read it.
Two cents added: make sure all of your soaps, detergents, hygiene supplies, everything….is non-scented and does not make you and your gear smell clean and fresh a hundred yards away.
Just wanted to take the opportunity with the comments open to say how much I appreciate WRSA. Been following for many years and still check multiple times a day for new posts. THANKS!
Appreciate every single person who has read (and hopefully got benefit from) anything from any one of the 3 WRSA blogs….

All these lists and suggestions and nary a mention of coffee.
Assuming you’ve got the mags and ammo and all that jazz and you’re asking about what you need that you haven’t thought of yet?
1) you need an offgrid power system that you can part with ie leave in camper or hunting cabin or barn; it has to be separate from your backup power system.
You need an inverter, ideally a deep cycle marine battery to go with it but you can use a car battery in a pinch. Inverter is a must. That recharges the Baofengs, and the drones, and the tablets hooked up to the Baofengs etc etc.
2) Everybody has a boatload of Baofengs right? Enough you can give plenty away and not hurt your household?
How about android tablets that don’t take a sim card?
How about APRS cables to connect the tablets to the Baofengs?
Everybody read Guerrilla’s Guide to the Baofeng Radio and knows what I’m talking about right?
3) You need a way to feed lots of people on short notice without drawing attention to yourself. It’s not all field rations all the time. Think of the spaghetti scene in The Godfather. Besides spaghetti, waffle irons and breadmakers can crank out high calorie food in short time with minimal energy input with ingredients that are super cheap and store forever.
4) There are a lot of people who are ideologically on our side, who are motivated to take action, who have a suitable rifle and ammo, who know absolutely nothing about anything.
The guy that has the AR but no chest rig? You better have some Chicom chest rigs to hand out. The guy who has a Baofeng but can’t program it? You better have the programming cable and be proficient enough to teach him how to do it when there’s no youtube to get a refresher. And the guy that doesn’t have a radio? You better have extra.
If you’re reading this, YOU are the guy. You are the one that has to make sure everybody has their shit together. You have to verify everyone zero’d their weapon. You have to verify nobody has a phone on them (or a smartwatch). You have to know One Time Pads so good you can teach it to the stupidest guy in the group.
Wound care supplies, sutures, tape, gauze, ABD pads, Telfair or other non adherents, packing strips, bleach, surgical instruments, topical antibiotics like honey and bacitracin, oral antibiotics and pain killers. And whiskey!
Lots of brilliant ideas on this board. I can think of some more. Someone mentioned plastic bags of various sizes-I like the Ziplock better than the press N seal. Ziplock seems to hold way better under stress conditions.
These are things that are simple, keep for almost forever, and would certainly be a morale booster. Kids and older folks could put these together in one day. What about dog food for the inevitable hunting/security/guard dogs that will surely be accompaning a resistance? Dogs need good food to do their jobs well. I would suggest packaging freeze dried meat and veggies (like carrots, peas, greenbeans), instant rice, along with a probiotic pill (Purina Fortiflora Probiotics for Dogs) in appropriate sized bags for labs, shepherds, etc. Add water at feeding time, –>let it soak<–, and every dog I know gobbles it down. Lightweight, easy to pack, takes years to expire, and your buddy is ready to rumble. Some extra collars and/or leashes, nail clippers, would be welcome. If you really want to protect them, add some dog boots and dog paw balm.
How about a Mother Hubbard kit? Walmart sells nonfat powdered milk in individual sealed bags that make 1 quart at a time. Throw some instant coffee, tea bags, powdered hot chocolate bags in along with sugar packets into a ziplock. Freezing your toukas on a mountain top during lookout would certainly be easier. Instant oatmeal packs or instant soup also would provide some good nutrition for a long march.
Baby wipes are notorious for being multi functional. Being clean when you cannot bathe is a God send.
Get your pick, breaking bar, and shovel. Go find a spot that you like. Then start digging. Don’t stop digging until you have finished digging your grave. Then, climb out of your grave and take a good hard look at it. Something will snap inside your skull and you’ll stop screwing around and get to work doing the doing that needs to be done because deep down inside, you don’t want to die and you don’t want to see your kin put in that hole you just dug. It brings clarity and it shows you just how out of shape and unprepared you really are. By 2025-2026 the WAMs get unleashed. Good Luck. God Help Us.
