Guns and ammo, along with the training to to use them effectively
Addressing any domestic issues with spouse and/or offspring that will cause you grief later on
Getting out of the hives and (hopefully) closer to right-minded folks
A nutritionally-balanced storage food cache of no less than 2500 cals/day for one year for each head for whom you are responsible
Water storage and purification sufficient to support you and yours indefinitely
A multi-band scanner that allows you to hear what is happening in your area of operations (plus an antenna and the batteries/power supply to operate same)
Another radio with AM, FM, and SW capability (plus an antenna and the batteries/power supply to operate same)
One year minimum supply for all prescription drugs needed by your crew
